Perhaps I did Siem Reap in reverse order

Hmm...to be honest, Siem Reap and Phnom Penh aren't exactly nice places to visit as the weather makes it too physically challenging. I've always preferred to walk around on my own rather than relying on transport, but an hour under the scorching sun really takes a lot out of me

Got up at like 5 in the morning (I really need to learn how to sleep in). I mean...I dun even have plans for today, why the hell would I wake up so early just to wait for time to past. So went to whatsapp and Facebook to see who's around. It happened to be screening "mission impossible" on tv, so I watched it till abt 8am.

Did a search on the Internet. Was looking for like cinema and shopping mall just to escape the heat for the day, but to my disappointment, they dun exactly have shopping malls and cinemas.

Eventually settled for the museums. There were 2 which I have intention to visit, but one was really out of the way while the other was within walking distance. So all set! Itinerary for today, breakfast, museum visit, massage and facial!

So headed out to search for breakfast. Breakfast is provided here but I really dun have to have Maggie 2 days in a row. Wanted to search for the pancake which I walked past last night. Apparently they only sell it during the night market. So I went into a restaurant and ordered breakfast

Haha, after days of Maggie, I should have something a little better

Went to the ATM after breakfast to draw some money. Haha, I totally underestimated the cost of living here...brought only abt 500 sing for a 14 day trip. I made a mistake and drew 200 instead of 190 (hard to break 100 bills), but the machine was kind and gave me only 1 $100 bill

Took a 45 mins walk to the Angkor National Museum (boy am I thankful for my GPS which doesn't require the Internet) I realized I should have visited this museum before Angkor Wat, as the museum gave a history and introduction to Angkor wat and the religion associated with it

Aircon-ed museum! I like! :)

I really love the batik drawings on display

Lately, my stamina not as good liao, so came back to my hostel for lunch, a short nap and then for massage and facial. I hope it freshens me up! (And pls, spare me the happy endings)

So I left the hotel after a short nap, and then it started pouring. So I decided to seek shelter inside a shopping mall, and to get some food and drinks for the 14 hour drive.

Luckily the rain stopped after an hour, so I proceed on with my journey to find a massage parlour. Found one which cost $10/hr for an oil massage. Haha, I could never get used to ppl washing my feet and asking me to undress. Am not too sure if she was using too little or too much strength (some parts of me tend to be extra sensitive while others parts the skin is rather tough). Haha, heng no extra service

Sustenance for the 14 hr ride!

Left the parlour and found facial service. After all, I have been washing my face with only water and given the dusty conditions here, I'm entitled to pamper myself a little. A little bit disappointed that they dun have the one where they use the pincer to squeeze ur face, but it's cheap, so it's good!

Continued on with my search for food. Wanted to go budget and find that $1 chow mein but he was nowhere to be found. Eventually had to give in to temptation and went for rice with satay and peanut sauce. I was also quite determined to try their pancake, which actually turned out to be roti prata with banana and chocolate

Dinner! They forget the spoon though :(

Haha, I'm actually v pressed for time. Need to wash up, packed my bag and eat dinner within the hour. Got to go! See you in Vietnam!

PS: is one suppose to shower after an oil massage?
